Terms of Use

1. Who runs the app

Challapp (the "app") is operated by Give up s.r.o., company ID 14445689, registered at Sochařská 312/12, Bubeneč, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic ("we"). Contact: podpora@challapp.cz.

2. What the app does

The app helps you finish challenges: you pick one (from our library or your own), record each day whether you did it, and optionally join a group of people who can see your daily check-ins.

The app is a tool, not a medical or professional service. Library challenges are general ideas. Whether a challenge is right for you is your call, if needed with your doctor.

3. Account

You can use the app without signing up. Your data is then stored under an anonymous account tied to your phone. If you lose the phone or delete the app, the data cannot be recovered.

Groups and use on more than one device require Sign in with Apple. This converts the anonymous account into a permanent one and keeps your data.

The account is yours. Do not share it. You are responsible for what happens under it.

4. Free and Premium

Core features are free with no time limit. Premium is a subscription that unlocks more (the current scope is always shown in the app and at challapp.cz).

Subscriptions are bought and billed exclusively through the App Store under Apple's terms. The price is shown before purchase. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, the full price is charged when it ends unless you cancel earlier.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules. We cannot see or refund payments.

Security updates are always free and never conditional on Premium.

5. Your content

Names of your custom challenges, check-in notes and your group name are yours. You only grant us the right to store and show them to you and your group members so the app works.

Check-in notes are visible to every member of the group the challenge belongs to. Do not write anything there they should not see.

You must not post content that is illegal, abusive, harassing or infringes others' rights. We may dissolve such groups and block the account.

6. Groups

One person creates a group and invites others by link or code. Anyone with the code can join until the group is full, so share it only with people you want in.

You can leave a group anytime; your challenge then continues solo. The creator can cancel the group before it starts.

7. Ending and deleting your account

You can delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Delete account). We delete all your challenges, check-ins and notes. In groups an anonymous “Left” entry remains so others keep their history. Cancel your subscription separately in your Apple ID; deleting the account does not end it.

We may end your account if you breach these terms. We will let you know by e-mail if we have one.

8. Availability and liability

We try to keep the app running at all times but cannot guarantee it. Outages may happen due to maintenance or failures. Data is also stored locally on your phone, so a daily check-in works offline.

The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profit. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms when the app or the law changes. We will announce material changes in the app at least 14 days ahead. If you disagree, you can delete your account.

10. Law and disputes

Czech law applies. If you are a consumer in another EU country, the protections of your country's law also apply. Czech courts have jurisdiction; consumers may also contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
